All businesses operating within the municipal boundary must hold a valid business license from the Municipality of Jasper.
New Resident Business Licenses
Pick-up an application package from the Parks Canada Administration office (Jasper Heritage Train Station). This first step is to determine whether your proposed business complies with the appropriate use guidelines, outlined in Schedule A of the Jasper Business Licensing Bylaw (PDF).
Once you received approval from Parks Canada, apply for a business license with the Municipality of Jasper by completing the Business License Application Form. If you are conducting business both within the town boundary and outside the town boundary you will need both a Business License from the Municipality of Jasper and Parks Canada. Please complete the Jasper National Park Business License Application (PDF) for residents.
New Nonresident Business Licenses
If you are conducting business within the town boundary, please complete the Municipal Business License Application Form. You do not require a Parks Canada business license if you operate within the town boundary only and do not have a physical business location in Jasper.
If you are conducting business outside the town boundary only, please complete the Jasper National Park Business License Application (PDF).
Please note that businesses operating outside the town boundary also require a business license from Parks Canada. Municipal business licenses are only valid within the town boundary (railway trestle to trestle, roughly). View a Town Site Boundary Map (JPEG) to view the exact boundary lines.
