COS launches Snow Angels program

Snow Angels Sign 16x20_3

As winter arrives in Jasper, so will the snow. In an effort to help seniors and community members with physical disabilities, Community Outreach Services (COS) has launched the Snow Angels program, asking neighbours to assist each other in shovelling snow.

Through the program, community members who are unable to shovel their own sidewalks are connected with COS and given a sign for their lawn. The sign asks passersby to "Be an angel. Shovel your neighbour's sidewalk." The signs will remain in place for the duration of the season, so passersby can assist their neighbours all winter long.

Need a sign? Call Adult Outreach Worker Lynda Shore at 780-852-6536.
