Bylaw Enforcement Downtown

news_downtown.jpg

Summer is here and so are the visitors!

In response to the increased traffic in our community, our summer Municipal Compliance Officer has been assigned to continuous foot and bike patrols in the downtown core to act as a point of contact for the public and help address issues around:

  • Biking or skateboarding on the sidewalk;
  • Parking issues and time limit enforcement;
  • Vehicle idling;
  • Animals left in vehicles, etc.

This increased presence in the downtown core will help free up our Community Peace Officers to spend more time patrolling residential areas and help reduce response times to requests for assistance from the public.
