Composting Locations
Kitchen compost bins are located beside most residential waste bins in Jasper. Both of the community recycling depots (Activity Centre and S Block) also have compost bins.Kitchen Compost Directions
- Do not put plastic bags in the compost bins
- Separate organics from regular waste in the kitchen. See the list of acceptable and unacceptable items below.
- Store organics in a compost pail and empty the contents into the compost bin closest to your home. Small kitchen compost pails are available at various retailers in Jasper.
- Tip: collect your compost in a sealed container and/or in the freezer to eliminate any odor.
